Silky, soft, smooth hands

This may sound weird but I always get compliments on my hands. They're soft and smooth and I don't let the sun damage them. Read my tips below to keep your hands looking great this summer and find out what you can do now to prevent sun spots and wrinkles as you age.

Make sure to exfoliate your hands once a week. Use your favorite exfoliator or make your own by mixing in sugar or salt with your cleanser. Rub the exfoliator in and keep on for a minute. Rinse and put lotion on.

Rain or shine wear sunscreen on your hands with an SPF 30 or higher. Every. Single. Day.  This will prevent sun spots and wrinkles when you're older.

Gloves aren't only for the winter time! If your going to be out in the sun for a long time or driving in the heat wrap up those hands for some extra protection!

Don't forget to have a fresh mani!

I have a moisturizing mask just for you on this Saint Patrick's Day!

All you need is a bowl, spoon, and two all natural ingredients. This mask will minimize pores and clean your skin with the ingredient honey and make your skin feel silky smooth with the avacado.

First  prep your skin by washing your face with your usual cleanser and a towel soaked with lukewarm water. Dry your skin and apply the mask.

Scoop out 1/3 of an avacado and use a spoon to mash it up.  Mix in honey and stir completely. Use your fingers or a brush to apply to your face and let sit for 5-10 minutes.

Best cleanser/moisturizer for acne prone skin

So why is there not some type of Botox equivalent for acne yet? We put people in space, have crazy ridiculous technology, you think by now we would be able to go to a doctors office, get a shot and be acne free for the next 6 months. Well, it's just not possible but I will share a little insight with you on what you can be doing on a daily basis to help with blemishes and breakouts.

Using Cetaphil and Cerave or the generic versions of this stuff will help tremendously. These cleansers won't break you out and they get all the make up off!! I like to switch the moisturizers because the Cetaphil one has emollients and humectants to lock that moisture in and the Cerave moisturizer is formulated with ceramides and hyaluronic acid which restores the skin and helps keep you looking young. Tip* you can use the Cerave moisturizer as an eye cream too, just be sure to use your ring finger when you apply.

These products are dermatologist recommended and they don't cost an entire week of pay like most of the skincare sets I have tried in the past!

Here's to glowing, flawless skin!!

XO fabulous!!

Sick as a dog?!?! Get yourself some ginger tea

Ugh why am I sick again?!?! I've been sick so much in the past 5 months. Why you ask? Oh I don't know because I have to be in Walmarts an grocery stores for work all day and I get sick from everyone!!!!

So what is my cure all besides sleeping as soon as I get home and drinking tons of water? The secret is ginger tea. Oh my gosh this stuff makes you feel so much better and also helps with upset stomachs if it's that time of the month or you literally just ate 5 pounds of food. Either way ginger tea is the best and can be made at home or you can cheat and purchase ginger tea bags.

-ginger root
-hot water

Boil some water and pour into your cup of choice. Slice up a few pieces of ginger root, add it to your cup, and let sit for 5 minutes before enjoying.

Bottoms up!!

Taken or Single?!

Whether you're taken or not, my best advice for a fun day is to remember to love you!  Treat yourself to a shopping spree, mani/pedi, facial, or whatever it is that makes you happy.

To my single ladies out there have fun!  Go to the bars and have a single hottie buy you a drink ;) Don't be sad on this beautiful day, it causes wrinkles.

Have a very Happy Valentines Day!

Healthy & Delicious Breakfast

Below is the recipe for my delicious banana mashed potatoes.  I eat this for breakfast a few times a week and have also brought it to dinners as a side dish.  All of the ingredients below are great to incorporate into your healthy diet.  This meal will not only keep you full and satisfied but provides you with a good source of antioxidants and potassium.

Banana Mashed Potatoes

Ingredients for one serving:

  • 1/2 sweet potato
  • 1/2 banana
  • handful of blueberries
  • 1/4 cup of soymilk or almond milk
  • drizzle of honey
Stab the sweet potato with your fork a few times and put it into the microwave for 3-5 minutes.  Wait a few minutes for the potato to cool and peel off the skin.  Take your banana and the sweet potato and mash it up in a bowl.  Add in your soy milk/almond milk and stir.  Put on your toppings and enjoy!

*Sometimes I put walnuts on top for an extra crunch
